Every region of the United States has that one dish that is a staple and is beloved by the people who live there. This is especially true when it comes to sweets. Listed below is a list of the most well-known desserts in each state.
Alabama – Lane Cake
Remember the Alabama Lane Cake from Harper Lee’s novel To Kill a Mockingbird, which appears numerous multiple once throughout the novel? Basically, it’s a white cake with bourbon-soaked raisins and white marshmallow icing that has won several awards.
Alaska – Cinnamon Rolls at Tetsa River Lodge
It’s true that Alaska did not originate the cinnamon roll, but there is one site in the state where you can get a taste of the classic treat: the Tetsa River Lodge and RV Park. The camping firm has dubbed itself the “Cinnamon Bun Center of the Galactic Cluster,” which means “Cinnamon Bun Center of the Galaxy.”
Arizona – Sopaipillas
Even though Alaska did not develop the cinnamon roll, the Tetsa River Lodge and RV Park is one of the few places where you can get your hands on one of the world’s most famous treats. Colorado –Root Beer Float at Sweet Cow
According to mythology in Colorado, a miner and bar owner called Frank Wisner developed the cocktail in 1893 after thinking that the moon beaming over snow-capped Cow Mountain looked like a spoonful of ice cream laying on top of a dark-colored liquid, according to the Food Network’s article on the subject. With his creativity, he came up with the idea for Black Cow Mountain, which was then abbreviated to Black Cow and finally became known as the root beer float.

Delaware – Peach Pie
Officials in the state of Delaware declared peach pie to be the state dessert in 2009, which came as a surprise to Georgia residents since “peach growing is an essential part of Delaware’s agricultural tradition,” according to the state’s official website.
