Unbelievable Cherry Pie Salad Recipe

Cherry pie salad can be made in less than six minutes with only six easy ingredients and takes less than six minutes to prepare. What’s the best part? Every time I serve it, I get a lot of positive feedback! I’m going to be absolutely open and honest with you about everything. The use of the term salad in this recipe for cherry pie salad is completely misleading. It’s served alongside whatever we’ve grilled (typically burgers), along with watermelon, chips, and an ice beverage, just like any other summer salad, in my opinion.

  1. I adore any food that can be put together quickly and simply and that can be created using materials that I already have in the house.
  2. And yes, I did use the word containered to describe the situation.
  3. Thank goodness for meals that may be prepared ahead of time to save time on the day of your family gathering!
  4. Oh, and this peanut butter chocolate trifle is one of the most often requested sweets in my family!
  5. Nuts in salads are not a favorite of any of them.
  6. I’m hopeful they’ll grow out of their childish antics in the future.
  7. To our good fortune, everyone else at the gathering was willing and eager to “divide and conquer.” It’s possible that the cherry pie filling had anything to do with it.
  8. Perhaps the whipped topping as well.
  9. I can assure you that it is the greatest.

CHERRY CHEESE PIE

This pie begs out for TRADITION! Assume Tevye from Fiddler on the Roof is shimmying and performing the song “Tradition.” You know the type of tradition I’m talking about. Every Thanksgiving since I can remember, my family has prepared this pie, and it has become a tradition. The majority of the time, we avoid the plates. And because the males don’t appreciate it, we keep it hidden. Then the Larson ladies just take a fork and, within minutes, the problem is solved. It is not a gourmet meal. I don’t even like cherries, so I remove them with a scraper.

It immediately transports me back to my mother’s kitchen.

Don’t be concerned.

It is critical to allow the pie to cool for a couple of hours in order for it to firm up.

PRO TIP:

To save time, I place the entire can of cherries in the refrigerator while the creamy layer is cooling and the cherries are chilling. Warm cherries are not a favorite of anyone!

  • (1 package) softened cream cheese
  • 1 can (14 oz) Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (9-ounce) graham cracker crust
  • 1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
  1. Cream the cream cheese in a large mixing bowl until it is light and creamy. Loads of cream cheese will result if your cream cheese is not soft enough. Gradually incorporate the sweetened condensed milk until the mixture is smooth. In a separate bowl, mix the lemon juice and vanilla until well incorporated. This is necessary to ensure that the mixture is sufficiently mixed and will firm up. Pour into the graham cracker crust and place in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours. Pour over the cherries (you may not need all of them) and place in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Cherry Fluff Salad

A simple 5-ingredient creamy dessert. Cherry Fluff Salad is a refreshing salad made with cherries. Traditional cherry pie is given a new makeover. My family loves this Cherry Pie Fluff Salad, and it is one of their favorites. It doesn’t get much easier than this to prepare for the summer season! When it comes to potluck side dishes and desserts to bring to a graduation celebration or potluck meal, you’ve come to the right place. For years, this classic cherry pie salad has been a family favorite in our home.

It’s the same delicious dish, and there are a plethora of ways to customize the recipe, but this is the way my mother always prepared it.

WHAT IS CHERRY FLUFF SALAD

We’re only a few weeks away from the actual start of summer, which means that potluck season will be among us once again. A variation on the famous Ambrosia Salad that has been served in the United States for decades, cherry fluff salad is another sort of no-bake summer dessert that is often offered in the United States. It is a popular cool whip dessert that may be created for a variety of occasions, including Mother’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, the Fourth of July, Christmas, and other holidays.

A cherry angel salad, cherry dump salad, and a cherry pie filling dessert are all names for this dish that originates in the southern United States of America.

My mother enjoys preserving her own summer berries to use in sweets later in the year, which she does every year. This is the ideal dish for incorporating those delicious fresh summer cherries into.

HOW TO SERVE CHERRY FLUFF SALAD

Cherry fluff salad is the perfect side dish or dessert to bring at a potluck, summer party, or barbeque with friends. It is also delicious served cold. On a hot summer night, serve it chilled.

HOW TO MAKE CHERRY FLUFF

This light and delightful summer dessert salad may be prepared and eaten the same day it is presented. I prefer to let it at least an hour to rest once it has been refrigerated, but it does not require hours of chilling or resting. The fluids will have more time to seep into the marshmallows and expand as a result. To prepare this refreshing cherry summer dessert, combine the pineapple chunks, cherry pie filling, marshmallows, sweetened condensed milk, whipped cream topping, and almond essence in a large mixing bowl until well combined.

  • After that, cover and chill the whipped cream cherry salad until ready to serve.
  • Simply drain the juice from the can and mix in the crushed pineapple until well combined.
  • However, if you intend on serving this the next day, keep in mind that the cherry salad will not be as solid as it was on the first day, which is not a big deal.
  • Fresh cherries, commercial pie filling, or your own homemade cherry pie filling can all be used to make Cherry Fluff Salad.
  • After that, pulse them in a food processor until they are finely chopped.

In a separate bowl, combine the almond extract, tiny marshmallows, and crushed pineapple in the juice. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator until ready to serve

Make Ahead – Salad may be prepared ahead of time. Simply drain the crushed pineapple from the can, reserving the juice for later use. During the time that the cherry dessert salad is refrigerated, its juices will soak into the marshmallows and cause the sugar to melt.

Cherry Cream Cheese Pie From Grandmama’s Kitchen

My grandmother used to prepare this for any occasion, and she’d bring a whole pie to our home! Unfortunately, my brother, bless his heart, was not a fan of this type of food, which meant I got to eat his portion of the meal. My sister was almost born with a calorie counter in her head, so I’m quite sure I ate some of her calories as well. Opening the refrigerator and seeing a slice of Cherry Cream Cheese pie staring back at you was a gorgeous sight to behold, no doubt! Allow me to demonstrate how simple it is to create this pie!

Recipe Ingredients:

  • Graham cracker crust
  • One can of your preferred pie filling
  • Cream cheese
  • Lemon juice
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Vanilla
  • Graham cracker crust My grandmother always used cherries, so I’m using it as my flavoring.

How to Make Cherry Cream Cheese Pie Step by Step Instructions

  • Mix the cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk together in a large mixing basin until well combined.
  • Cover it with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for several hours. At this time of year, I also refrigerate my pie filling, which I do by just putting the entire unopened can in the fridge
  • After a few hours, spread your preferred pie filling on top of the crust.

Oh my. Look how pretty that pie is!

  • Place this back in the refrigerator to firm up even more until you’re ready to serve it

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Take advantage of the low-cost options available to you, there is no guilt in doing so
  • One canned pie filling of your choosing
  • A graham cracker crust from the grocery store Cherry or blueberry are two of my favorite fruits.
  • If you want your pie to be lump-free, make sure the cream cheese is melted at room temperature first. Combine the cream cheese, condensed milk, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Blend until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Spread the filling into the pie shell and top with a pie crust. Refrigerate for several hours before serving. Place the pie filling on top and place it back in the refrigerator until it is thoroughly cooled. Note: This is a soft pie, thus it should be served cold. Because it will not firm up, store it in the refrigerator and serve it cold. Some users have also commented that you may increase the amount of cream cheese you use to keep it from being too runny.

This is the sort of meal that I remember my great-grandmother cooking for family dinners when I was growing up.

Cherry Salad Ingredients

It goes without saying that the cherries are the main attraction. Instead of fresh cherries, I use a can of cherry pie filling in this recipe. Walnuts (I adore the crunch they provide! ), pineapple chunks, micro marshmallows, and Cool Whip are all used as supporting elements.

Additionally, it makes use of a can of sweetened condensed milk. If you don’t care for either the pineapple or the walnuts, you may omit them from the recipe. You may also use other nuts or fruit in their place if you like a different flavor.

How to Make Cherry Salad

It doesn’t get much easier than this! You might also refer to it as Cherry Dump Salad because you literally just dump all of the ingredients into a bowl and serve them immediately. Put together a big mixing basin and pour in the cherries, sweetened condensed milk, walnuts, pineapple chunks, Cool Whip and micro marshmallows. Stir until everything is well-combined. Using a whisk, mix all of the ingredients. Toss the ingredients together and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours or until ready to serve.
