Great Wolf Lodge Launches ‘Wine Down’ Service
The new Wine Down campaign at Great Wolf Lodgeresorts offers a variety of adult drinks for parents who want to relax while their “pups” are having a good time on the waterslides while they’re at work or school. ADVERTISING There are two locations in Virginia: Williamsburg and Grapevine. The program will be expanded to include 14 other properties later in the year in addition to the two already offered. The Wine Group in Livermore, California, according to Chris Hammond, Great Wolf Lodge’s Corporate Director of Food and Beverage, was chosen as a partner after the brand sampled a variety of their goods.
The current items are packaged together in $35 bundles.
When you order a “While the Pups Sleep, Chardonnay,” you’ll receive a platter of cured meats with Mediterranean green and black olives, as well as a screw-top Cupcake Chardonnay.
You are not, however, limited to these specific meal combination suggestions.
The concept came about naturally as a result of a thorough study of visitor requirements and the awareness that, while the lodge was extremely dedicated to offering bedtime tales and yoga programs for the younger set, “we didn’t have something expressly for the older group.” More information may be found at: 5 Ways Great Wolf Lodge is More Than a Waterpark According to Hammond, “the wines we chose are accessible and fairly popular.” Each $35 package includes a souvenir wine opener, and guests may choose a delivery time between 8 p.m.
- and 11 p.m.
- Instead of having to worry about waking up the kids, they will receive a text message informing them that the delivery is outside the room.
- Craft beer pairings might be on the horizon in the future.
- For example, Disney’s Napa Rose Chef’s Station at its Grand Floridian hotel offers wine pairings for visitors.
- Great Wolf’s program is another another reminder that a family experience does not need to forsake exquisite taste for the grown-ups.
15 Must Try Things at Epcot Food and Wine Festival 2016
Fall is my favorite time of year because of the crisp autumn air, the changing colors of the leaves as they turn a million shades of orange, yellow, and red, the return of football to take up my entire weekend schedule, and the arrival of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival for the 21st year! Wandering through all of the pavilions, smelling the delicious cuisine, and tasting my way across the world is something I look forward to every year. I recently had the opportunity to spend some time (and I mean a lot of time) at the 2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.
Some of them are Food and Wine stalwarts, while others are newcomers, but here are the dishes that you simply must eat if you ever find yourself in the city.
Although I had no expectations of it, I was anticipating a dried-out, tough piece of pork; instead, my expectations were exceeded, and I was pleasantly delighted.
Second, the serving size was really big, making it a fantastic value for the $5.00 price tag.
I’d buy it again without hesitation!
In addition to the Black Pepper shrimp, Chicken Pot Stickers, and Sichuan Spicy Chicken (more on that later), the duck is a standout among the other dishes on the menu.
The duck is a great, substantial piece of meat that is both fresh and juicy.
The hoisin sauce isn’t overbearing, and they’ve included in some crunchy bits to keep things interesting.
Thanks to the fact that this meal is accessible every year, it is one of, if not the greatest, dishes available this year.
Although they have the Layered Meat Pie, which is tasty, as well as the always great Brazilian Cheese Bread, it is the succulent Crispy Pork Belly that has me going back year after year to this establishment.
A nice-sized piece of belly is served to you, and it is crispy on the surface while remaining moist and juicy on the inside, as desired.
Arrive early and make a second visit before departing!
One exception was made in this case since it was truly outstanding!
However, I couldn’t detect much of the cranberry flavor, which was fine because I prefer the passion fruit flavor anyhow, but whatever the combination was, it worked nicely.
Grey Goose Le Citron, which is quite delicious.
It also has a lovely appearance!
$4.50 Mac and cheese is one food that you will never have to persuade me to try again.
You best stay out of my way if you decide to add bacon on the top of the dish because I really want that sucker!
It did not fail to impress!
The cheddar cheese sauce was incredibly creamy and fresh tasting, and they put a few bread crumbs on top, which I absolutely love when it comes to Mac & Cheese!
The chunks of bacon that were crushed on top were of a reasonable size, and they weren’t sparse, as you can see in the photo.
But give it a try and report back to me on your experience.
For example, I had only gone to Le Cellier for dinner a few days prior, when I had devoured an entire bowl of the Cheddar Cheese Soup, and yet I couldn’t resist the appeal of the Cheddar Cheese Soup as I passed by it while passing by.
She was born and raised in Italy, so she knows what she’s talking about when it comes to good cuisine.
The serving size is less than the Le Cellier version, and you may be sweating because to the high heat index of 105 degrees, but as soon as you put that creamy, cheese heaven in your mouth, everything will be okay once again.
Piggy Wings: Fried Pork Wings with Korean BBQ Sauce and Sesame Seeds |
$4.25 That practically all of my options contain pork is only now dawning on me, but what can I say.incredible!
This is a new variety that can be found at the Craft Beers pavilion, which is located in the old Odyssey restaurant between Future World and World Showcase and adjacent to the old Odyssey restaurant.
They are more like little pig shanks than they are actual wing-like pieces of meat.
Ohana Chicken wings are quite similar to this.
Although I could have easily gone for 20 of these, you get two of them.
Besides the fact that it was wrapped in chocolate, the shell itself was crisp, not mushy or stale as you could encounter with some other brands.
The ricotta filling was fresh and sweet, quite creamy and not gritty, and the candied fruit brought a great finishing touch to the overall presentation.
It is, in my opinion, the greatest Cannoli on Disney property and should not be missed!
Since last year, I’ve had my eye on this particular item, which is a Food and Wine classic.
The skewer has a substantial chunk of beef that is both flavorful and tender, but the Chimichurri sauce is the stuff of tales; the amount of flavor it contains is incredible.
When I dip the beef in the puree, I get to taste all of the different flavors coming together.
Melissa’s Produce is used in this dish, which includes a seared scallop, truffled celery root purée, Brussels sprouts, and wild mushrooms.
However, this rendition is also rather nice!
As a result, this is an excellent deal in contrast.
Now, I was a bit curious about the Truffled Celery Root Puree and how it would taste with the scallop, and I have to admit that it went really well with the scallop, and the mushrooms were delicious as well.
Strawberry Puree with French Caribbean Rhum Clement – France – Frozen Daiquiri Ice Pop $8.50 France used to be my favorite booth, but it was only for the cuisine in previous years.
It reminded me of the push-pops I used to eat as a kid, with the exception of the rum component, of course!
In addition, it was really cool after being out in the Florida heat.
The one drawback is that it melts quite quickly, causing it to spill down the bottom.
I would recommend holding it with a napkin, but you will most surely not miss it!
$3.75 Schinkennudeln is simply a fancy, incredibly long German phrase for macaroni and cheese, which appears once again on my Must Eat list for this year.
It’s a must-eat1 because of the price-to-quantity ratio; in fact, I believe it’s the finest value for money in the whole Food and Wine Festival this year, bar none.
The cheese is also fantastic, but it’s quite different from your typical cheddar mac and cheese; it’s certainly a European cheese, which is something you don’t see very frequently in this part of the world.
Overall, this is one of the finest selections this year, and if you’re only going to eat one Mac and Cheese, choose this one over the Farm Fresh option (although I’m not sure why you’d limit yourself to just one, to be honest).
The hard cherry cola ones were excellent, as was the root beer ones.
I’m a much bigger fan of Cherry Cola than I am of regular cola, and Sprecher did not disappoint; they make excellent products.
This was a good-sized package.
I haven’t tried the Root Beer one yet, but it’s on my list of things to try in the future.
$5.75 I had informed you that we will be returning to China because, as I previously stated, China is the clear victor in my book this year.
The Sichuan Spicy Chicken was very delicious.
They weren’t over the top in any way, but they did have a powerful impact.
I had already eaten one by the time I took this shot since I was ravenous, so I believe they gave me 5 nice-sized chunks of chicken in total, but the batter they were baked in was incredibly delicious.
They were served hot and fresh, and it was clear that they hadn’t been sitting around for long periods of time.
I have to get back to the house and get some more!
This was also a favorite of mine, and it was maybe my favorite dessert of the event.
Then there were sugared peanuts encrusted all around the swirling caramel on top, which was a nice touch.
It was just incredible!
a fantastic combination of salty and sweet action that played off one other incredibly effectively Even though it isn’t very large, and I was initially hesitant, the flavor is so deep that I believe it is the ideal serving size for this dish.
This year, I had a great time traveling around and sampling everything; it was a lot of fun.
But those are my picks for the Must-Try Foods at the 2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, as determined by my taste buds.
Keep an eye out for a few more articles on some of the other offerings that I enjoyed as well as some of the over-rated things to avoid in the near future, so stay tuned!
I am working very hard to make this website a useful resource for you and your family as you plan your trip to Walt Disney World, and I hope it will be of assistance to you! Thank you very much.

Meet the Author of Ziggy Knows Disney!
My name is Ziggy, and I am a huge fan of Disney and anything related to it. I grew up on Disney and it has and continues to be a significant part of my life. My parents took me to Disney World when I was 18 months old, and it was my first experience with the theme park. What they didn’t realize was that this would be the first of an untold number of journeys we would do. Going to Disney World with my family and friends has provided me with countless wonderful experiences, and it has been ingrained in my DNA.
