Making soft buns by steaming old bread on the stove is highly efficient. Steam quickly moistens and puffs up those burger buns, and they taste simply delicious as a result. In fact, some people prefer steaming vegetables over grilled vegetables entirely! To use this approach, start by filling a big pot about one-third of the way with water. Bring the water to a roaring boil. Using a colander or a steamer basket, raise it a few inches above the boiling water and add your bread. You don’t want the buns to get wet; you simply want them to be exposed to the steam while cooking.

You’ll be finished in one to two minutes!

How to Do a Messy Bun with Thin Hair

The reality is that when you have short, thin hair, you will always want some type of hack in order to make a sloppy bun appear presentable. If this is not done, the bun will be extremely little, which signifies two things:

  • Your face will appear fuller (which is why little buns should be avoided at all costs if you have a full round face)
  • Your hair will appear extremely thin (and you want to make your thin hair appear fuller, don’t you? )
  • And your clothes will appear tighter.

Fortunately, we have three tricks that can assist you in creating a voluminous messy bun for thin hair with ease.

1: Cute Messy Bun for Thin Hair

The following approach will assist you in creating a messy bun with middle-length hair, or even a short lob haircut. The following are the procedures to be followed: Step 1: Brush your hair and draw it up into a high ponytail, which you will fasten with an elastic band. The ponytail should be raised and placed away from your face by wrapping an elastic tie numerous times around it. Using your fingers, pull all of your hair towards the front to avoid a smooth ponytail look. Not only should the bun itself be a little unkempt, but the entire hairdo should be a little unkempt as well.

  • Don’t keep your mouth shut, as thin hair is more prone to breakage.
  • You’ll end up with a ponytail that’s a little sloppy and puffy, like this: Step 4: Take parts of your teased hair and pin them to the base of your head.
  • The goal is to have the teased hair pinned up on both sides in order to resemble a bun in appearance.
  • Step 5: Remove the front parts from the sleeve.
  • If your hair is too short in the back and cannot be tied into a ponytail, you may simply clip it with a bobby pin at the rear of your head.

2: Huge Messy Bun with a Donut Bun Maker

Using a donut bun maker to create a bun for thin hair may be the quickest and most convenient method. This has the drawback of resulting in sleek and flawless ballerina buns, which is not the hairdo we are aiming for here in the first place. Following is what we recommend doing in its place: Make a high ponytail at the top of your head with your hair after brushing it back. Step 2: Pull the hair to the sides so that it doesn’t appear too smooth on the top. Step 3: Get a bun maker to match the color of your hair.

It’s basically the opposite of what you do with a sock when you’re constructing a sock bun with it.

Step 4: Distribute the strands of your hair evenly on all four sides of your head.

It is preferable to pin them as they are, rather than twisting them, because you may wind up with insufficient hair to cover some of the regions. Once again, leaving the tips exposed and bringing your front pieces together will only enhance the overall appearance.

3: Messy Bun for Short Hair with Hair Extensions

Using a donut bun maker to put thin hair into a bun may be the quickest and most convenient method. This has the drawback of resulting in sleek and silky ballerina buns, which is not the hairdo we are aiming for. What we recommend is the following in its place. Make a high ponytail at the top of your head with your hair after brushing it out. To avoid a too-smooth appearance, pull the hair to all sides of the head. Taking a bun maker to match your hair color is step three. Finding the thread that holds the bun maker in place will make it easier to unwrap it.

Put your ponytail at its base and fix it with bobby pins by wrapping the unrolled bun maker around the base of it.

Arrange the strands of your hair on all four sides in a uniform manner.

You should pin them as they are rather than twisting them since you may wind up with insufficient hair to cover some of the regions if you do not pin them as they are.

How to Do a Messy Bun with Long or Thick Hair

Makeup-free messy buns will be less difficult to pull off if you have long, thick hair. To create a traditional ponytail, twist your hair over itself and secure it with a couple of bobby pins at the base of your ponytail. Important elements to include in the hairstyle include making the ponytail looser by drawing it out after it has been secured (or even after the bun is complete), as well as pulling and shaping certain front portions. If the traditional approach does not work for you and you are having difficulty keeping the messy bun in place, here are three other methods to try.

  1. When constructing a ponytail, avoid pulling out all of your hair, instead opting for a medium-sized rainbow bun. Once you’ve done that, twist and wrap the ends around the base of your pony, and secure them with bobby pins. Pulling and tugging at the portions can help you get the appearance you desire. Make a ponytail out of your hair. Then, grab another elastic and begin by pulling only half of your hair through it, just like you would if you were making another pony. Twist the elastics and draw them through all of the hair that you currently have (the partly pulled-through ponytail together with the ends). It’s important to make sure the elastic doesn’t go all the way down to the bottom of the ponytail. The sloppy bun may be held in place with the help of the thirst elastic or bobby pins. Another method for creating a flawless messy bun with long hair is to start with a half ponytail and then twist and pin smaller portions of the loop to the base. This method is particularly effective with thick hair. After that, twist and pin the remaining ends in the places where they will fit better.

While still leaving you with the appearance of a hair model on the sidelines. So, are you all set? I certainly hope so. Because this first video will show you four various methods to get elegantly dirty in a fashionable manner.

4 Easy Messy Buns

It’s usually a good idea to brush out your hair first to get rid of knots before doing your makeup. As for your hair, because you’re most likely working with second-day hair, use your favorite dry shampoo to cover up any oiliness that may be hiding beneath the surface of your strands. That being said, to get things started, the first one is both simple and the essence of a completely unkempt appearance.

Big, Loopy and Messy?

  • Pull back the rest of your hair into a high ponytail MAKER OF DIFFERENCE: Using an elastic band, wrap your strands once around your head, but do not pull the hair fully through. Flip the hair around, gather up the remaining ends, and use your elastic to fix all of the loose ends. Consequently, you will have a large clump of hair on the top of your head. Any loose ends should be tucked back beneath the elastic. In order to get the desired level of messiness, fluff and Bobby pin items in place. Loosen the remainder of your hair to give it a more voluminous appearance.

Understated Elegance

This style, while not as as sloppy as some of the others, provides you a more professional appearance if that’s what the occasion requires.

  • Part your mane to the side as you normally would
  • Tease the hair beneath the part on each side of the part to give it a little more body and movement
  • This time, pull your hair back into a low ponytail
  • MAKER OF DIFFERENCE: Make a knot in the ponytail and wrap it around your finger or over itself without twisting
  • After that, tie your hair back with a hair tie. Allow the hair surrounding the bun to be a little looser and finger styled for a more carefree look.

Tightly Twisted Tresses Turmoil

The goal with this one is to have plenty of volume, so begin by teasing softly to achieve this goal quickly and easily. Then…

  • Bending at the waist and flipping your hair over your head are good examples. Your hair should be pulled up into a high ponytail on the top of your head. (If necessary, get inspiration from Atroll Dollas.) MAKER OF DIFFERENCE: This one requires you to tightly twist all of your hair from the ends to the roots
  • After that, wrap the twist over itself and tie it with your trusty elastic
  • Loosen the remainder of your hair, as well as the bun itself, like you did before. Using a bobby pin, secure the bun against your head. Hairspray should be used to complete the look.

Messy “Fan” Bun

This one is even more densely packed with content than number three, and it returns to the theme of tickling your origins — only in a more intense way.

  • Gather your hair into a loose high ponytail in the same manner as you did for the first bun
  • By teasing the ponytail down to the elastic, you may add volume and body to the ponytail itself. MAKER OF DIFFERENCE: Reposition the hair tie slightly higher on your head so that you may make a “hole” in the hair with your fingers. Thread the remaining of your ponytail through it approximately halfway, resulting in a compact bun that resembles a fan. Loosen the bun a little bit. Whatever loose ends you may have need to be tucked back under the elastic band in order to keep them out of the way. In order to make it easier to incorporate those ends into the bun, make the hair tie a little looser. Pin the bun in place when it has been fluffed to your liking.

In any case, that’s four. Here are six more for your consideration.

6 More Easy Messy Buns

High messy buns like this one may be great for ladies who have thick hair that is heavier and hence more difficult to “bun up.”

  • Pull your entire head of hair back and up
  • MAKER OF DIFFERENCE: Wrap your elastic once around your waist. You’ll want to leave a few loose ends here and there. Then wrap it around the bun a second time to secure it completely. After then, pull the bun apart in all directions almost to the point where it begins to come out. Don’t worry, you’ll pin it in place as required from there to keep it from moving about. The hairstyle, on the other hand, needs a little oomph. With eyebrow gel, you can keep any flyaways under control. Finish by pulling some hair out of the base of the bun with your fingers, while keeping it in place, to loosen and give some poofiness to the style, which will soften the look. (More on this in a moment.) To soften the appearance, pull out some stray strands to frame your face, which is something you’ll likely want to do with all of these.

Bam! One relaxed and enjoyable look.

Low Bun Imperfection

This second one is placed lower on your head, allowing your portion line to be seen.

  • Using your fingers, gather your hair up into a ponytail, being sure to leave your part visible. Once around with an elastic band
  • Make a difference by wrapping it a second time and just pulling your hair half of the way through the second time to leave some hair out of the bun you’ve just formed. (With this photo, you can clearly see how much of the hair has been left out of the bun.) After that, tug at the hair in the bun to produce a messed-up look. The objective is to form the bun in the manner in which you want it to appear. When shaping, you can find it beneficial to pull on it from opposing sides to get a better shape. Finish by loosening the hair that is not in the bun, using all of your fingers to relax the appearance
  • Once again,

I’m aware of the situation. This second one isn’t all that dissimilar from the first. The most noticeable change is that it rests lower on your head and your natural part is preserved. For a smoother finish, it may be preferable to brush your hair back instead of using your fingers when gathering and tugging it into the ponytail. Yet another tip: if your hair becomes too sagging, you may raise the entire bun and fasten it to your head with bobby pins liberally applied. In reality, you could find yourself in need of the bobby pin substitutes described in the hacks below.

We’ll go on to the next one.

Classic Top Knot

  • Turn your hair in an upside-down fashion. In order to bring the ponytail up as high as possible on your head, gather it all together and tie it into a bun that is high on your head. Troll dolls could come in help in this situation as well. When wrapping the hair tie, this time leave a little loop with the long ends of those strands hanging down. THIS MAKES A DIFFERENCE: Make a SECOND loop just behind the first one by gathering the ends and tucking them back inside the elastic
  • This gives you two loops to loosen and work with instead of just one. Pin as many pins as you need to your hair to get this gorgeous disarray

Classy Top Knot Hair Free For All

  • Pull your hair back and secure it with an elastic as previously
  • This time, the aim is to construct a small donut form with your hair and wrap it with an elastic band to make a difference. Take note of the fact that the ends have been left dangling. Make a slack in the bun and then tuck the loose ends back inside the elastic band. Remove the lowest section of your hair off your head and you’ve got yourself a messy bun number four in this video

Twisted Sophistication

This one is great for those days when you want to seem a little more put-together than usual. In this video, I present a slightly different approach to the twisted method that was demonstrated in the previous video.

  • Pull your hair back in the same manner as previously
  • Twist the threads together
  • Twist the knotted hair over itself to secure it. Wrap a hair band around the twisted bun to secure it. Loosen the bun as well as the remainder of your hair to your preference.

This following one is my personal favorite from the entire video.

Elegant Bun Bedlam

  • Prepare to wear a high ponytail with a hair tie to keep your style in place
  • MAKER OF DIFFERENCE: That pony has been divided into three pieces. Take each portion and divide it in half, so that you have two smaller sections to work with. Tie together both of the smaller portions by twisting them around each other. Snip a tiny section of hair and while holding it at the end, move the remainder of the hair down towards your head in order to scrunch it all up
  • As you would with a braid, pull apart the already scrunched-up hair to relax it and make it look larger than it is. This may be wrapped loosely around the elastic and pinned in place with the rest of your hair
  • Then repeat the process with the remaining two portions. Each one should be wrapped around the piece of hair that has already been wrapped to make your bun in three phases
  • Gather any stray strands and tuck them into the bun with your fingers. Using a bobby pin when necessary

You should finish this style by wrapping one scrunched-up part around the front of your hair to conceal the hair tie, if you can do it. On one of the sides, there’s another. And then there’s the third one around the back. When you’re finished, the elastic should be tucked up neatly. So there you have it: six additional methods to arrange your sloppy bun so that you finish up with an attractive style that will not be mistaken for a sprouting onion. Phew! As you can see, there was a lot to take in.

This is especially true if you have longer locks.

Because, while perhaps a bit more time-consuming, this following video displays a slightly different, and dare I say more voluminous, approach to bun bedlam than the previous one. It’s a style that could be best suited for people with long hair. Why not have a look if it describes you?

Long Hair Messy

  • Make a high ponytail out of your hair
  • Allowing the remainder of your hair to cascade around your palm while holding it at the root
  • DIFFERENCE MAKER: Now is the time to collect all of your drooping hair into a bun form and secure it with an elastic band. As she points out, with all of the ends dangling, it should have the appearance of a mop on your head. In order to tidy it up, tuck all of the loose ends underneath the hair tie. This creates the appearance of a ring of tucked-in hair around the initial bun, or a bun inside a bun impression, depending on your preference. Bobby pin it in place all around to keep it in place. Depending on your hair type, you may wish to cross pin some sections to keep everything in place.

Simply said, that’s all there is to it.

Short But Really Big Hair Messy Bun

Fortunately, this video demonstrates how to deal with shoulder-grazing length hair – so you can expect a messy bun instruction for shorter hair from someone who really has shorter hair. If you have chin-length or longer strands, I believe this approach would work well for you. As you can see, when styling shorter hair like this, there are really just two portions to think about. As a result, there are extra phases in this process. One last point to make. Second or third day hair is ideal for styles like this because it has the necessary grit and texture to hold the style in place, which is critical.

  • Working with newly washed hair, dry shampoo and hair spray may be used to provide the necessary texture to create the desired look. After applying the dry shampoo, run your fingers through your hair and spritz it all over, scrunching it as you go to make it seem incredibly disheveled and texturized. Gather your hair at the crown of your head and fix it with a hair tie to finish the look. It is important to note that the tie is wrapped over the collected hair, giving it the appearance of a bun. To put it another way, don’t draw all of the ends completely through the knot — the aim is a jumbled tangle of imperfection. Tugging and loosening the hair on the top of your head around the bun can give it more volume. The use of bobby pins may help to neaten things up by pinning ends, pieces, and odd bits of hair sticking out into the bun while also loosening the bun as you proceed to get the desired form

The little sections in the back above the nape of the neck that were not long enough to tie into a messy bun are a reality for those with shorter hair, and it makes sloppy buns more difficult to achieve. Here’s how to deal with the situation.

  • Spritz the bottom strands with hair spray, then brush them through to smooth them out. Make a little ponytail with your hair and secure it with a clear hair scrunchy towards the end. Utilize two or three bobby pins to lock it in place while working it into the rest of your hair in the back to conceal it as much as possible

To summarize, this is an ingenious trick that shorter haired females everywhere should admire. For a last touch, run a hot iron over the baby hairs framing your face to create a more finished appearance if you so choose. So, you guessed it, it’s true. It takes a little effort to appear effortless, but it is possible. Just make sure you don’t overdo it. With that, you now have a total of 12 distinct methods to style your hair. Unless you’re a complete novice, none of these recipes should take more than a few minutes to put together.

Okay, we understand that this appears to be a simple task at first sight.

In order to do this, let’s quickly go through seven or eight tricks to keep in mind when building your messy bun.

BONUS: Seven Extremely Helpful Hacks

The first hack is a stroke of absolute brilliance. Was it really necessary to apply an eyebrow gel to keep any flyaway hairs from sprouting up and standing tall everytime you tie your hair back into buns like this? An excessive amount of flyaways or baby hairs is usually not what you’re striving for in terms of style. So apply a thin layer of clear eyebrow gel to your brows and then brush it over your strands to slay them. Something like NYX Control Freak Eye Brow Gel, which will cost you $6 or $7 at your local CVS or Target and should work nicely, will cost you $6 or $7.

  • Another effective one is to untangle the hair that has been pulled back from your head.
  • You may, of course, have a different perspective.
  • Any ponytail, top knot, or updo may benefit from a little piecy-ness, and this is a great way to do it.
  • In addition to not being freshly cleaned, dry shampoo should provide plenty of grip for whatever bobby pins you want to apply.
  • Obviously, you should feel free to make these buns as high or as low on your head as you choose, depending on your preference.
  • For number five, it has been said to perform well for those with long, thick hair who use so-called ” spiral bobby pins ” or ” spin pins “.
  • Goody produces some that could be exactly what you’re looking for.

If you have particularly long or thick and heavy hair, you may want to consider using more than one hair tie.

HINT: Divide the ponytail in half and you’ll have the perfect look!

However, according on the positive feedback received, this strategy at the very least has a potential of being beneficial if you are working with a thicker mane.

Towards order to get a more natural-looking volume, you might tease the hair in the front of your head slightly.

Another wonderful technique that some people who have perfected the messy bun utilize without even thinking about it is the twisted bun.

Wasn’t that at LEAST seven hacks in all, didn’t it?

Okay, so maybe at this point you’ve gathered enough information to feel confident in your ability to pull off a perfectly wearable messy bun.

That holds true even if all evidence points to the fact that you did not inherit the gene necessary to perform a procedure on your own. What are your thoughts? Please follow our popular pins board on Pinterest if you want to see more adorable style ideas like these.

  • Back brush or comb your hair to tease it and add additional volume to your style. Straighten the front of your hair so that it falls over your forehead. Afterwards, back-brush it by positioning the brush in the centre of the hair and gently brushing it back toward the roots
  • Repeat this process until the appropriate amount of teasing is obtained. Afterwards, brush the sides of your hair by raising your hair and back-brushing it once more.
  1. 2Get rid of pimples on your body. Using your free hand, gather your hair into a neat ponytail, smoothing out any lumps along the way. If smoothing out unsightly lumps with your hand doesn’t work, try using a wide-toothed comb to get the job done. Make a ponytail out of your hair with one hand while holding in place with the other
  2. 3 Make a bun in the shape of a ballerina. To create a ponytail, wrap your elastic around your hair once or twice and secure it. Make a ballerinabun out of your ponytail by coiling your hair around the base of your ponytail as you were putting it in. Spread the bun to the top of your head and bind it with either the same or a second elastic (or by securing it with bobby pins
  3. When done correctly, this greatly enhances the appearance)
  4. 4 Tease the hair in the bun. Ponytails should be secured with an elastic, held up behind you and teased by combing the hair down and toward the elastic holder, as seen above. If desired, spritz your hair with hairspray before looping your hair once more with a second elastic. Feed the loose ends of the hair through the loop, and then use the remaining elastic to bind the entire looped bun to the hairstyle. Allow the ends to poke their way out through a tangled knot
  5. 5 Work with hair that is longer. Hair that is 1-2 inches past your shoulders should be looped and an elastic holder should be wrapped once around the looped hair. Make a second loop by feeding the rest of the hair through the first loop you made. Make careful to hold onto the ends of your hair so that they don’t slide through and undo the second loop when you’ve completed it. (Keep in mind that when you draw your hair through to produce a second loop, your initial loop may get tighter.) Wrap the remaining elastic around both loops to form a loose knot. Alternatively, if your hair is rather long, wrap it around the base of your pony and bind it with a second elastic to form a loose knot. Wrap an elastic around the loop you’ve created in your hair
  6. 6 Last but not least, complete the look. When you’re finished, softly smooth your hair back over the crown of your head and brush the edges of your hair to make them appear less unkept. If you intend to keep your elegant, disheveled bun in place for long hours or in tough weather conditions, spritz it with a little coating of hair spray. Advertisement
  1. 1Increase the amount of body. Run your fingers through the front of your hair to free it from the elastic and give it a little more body and volume. Add a headband to this style to create a more traditional, crown-like appearance that is appropriate for the office (or two). Wearing headbands that are either your favorite or complement your clothing is a simple matter of sliding them on your head two inches away from your hairline. For blond hair, add two black headbands or two headbands of a darker hue to complete the look. If you have brown or black hair, consider using white headbands or a different light colored headband
  2. 3accessorize with beautiful hair pins, clips, or gems if you have brown or black hair Adding stunning tiny jewelry or flowers to your ensemble will make it stand out even more. It is critical that you do not overdo it in this situation. The sloppy bun is a style that is both simple and elegant in its execution. Excessive embellishment will make your untidy hairdo appear flashy and unnatural
  3. 4 Find out what works best for you and stick with it. Try several styles on your hair until you’ve found the one that works best for you. Before you pull the majority of your hair into a ponytail, leave a few strands of hair out of your way. Then, once you’ve finished with the main bun, separate your hair into strands in the pony-tail and twist each one individually to create separate bun strands, wrapping each one around the main bun and attaching each one to the bun with a bobby pin, so that you have a ring of bun strands all around the main bun. Take several large wispy strands of hair out from the front and sides of your hair for a messy, whimsical appearance or softly tug the hair at the back of your bun to loosen it and let it to naturally fall
  4. 5spray your entire head with hairspray. Make sure you spray from a distance of seven to eight inches. If you are feeling very daring, you may purchase glitter hair spray, which will add a gorgeous sprinkle of glitter and gloss to your hair
  5. 6 Finish off your messed-up bun. There are a variety of approaches you may use to creating your sloppy bun masterpiece. The more you experiment with your own personal style, the more styles you will come up with that you will appreciate for your own personal use and enjoyment. What is most crucial when creating a sloppy bun is that it looks natural and is not over-worked or too tightly wrapped around the head. Your messy bun should make you feel relaxed, gorgeous, and whimsical once you’ve finished styling it. As you gain proficiency in the trade, you will be able to manipulate the appearance such that others would believe you were born with perfectly coiffed hair! Advertisement

Create a new question

  • Question How can I get this done in a short amount of time? A messy bun may be completed in a single day. Make a messy bun before you go to sleep, and you’ll wake up with a “beautiful” messy bun the next morning. Question Why is it that my bun won’t stay in place, despite the fact that I’ve used hair bands, bobby pins, and hairspray? It’s likely that your hair is overly clean. Hair that is exceptionally clean will constantly fall out of an up-do. You may try applying extra-strength gel or mousse, or braiding your hair to make it remain in place longer. If you like, you can leave a tiny bit of the mixture to wrap around the bun. French braids going to the base of the bun can assist the sides of the bun remain in place more effectively. Consider wearing your hair up in a bun or a sock to help keep it in place
  • Question What is the process of making the real bun? Do I twist my hair and then tie it up, or do I just put it up as I always do? Make sure to twist your hair, since this is the key to a fantastic messy bun appearance. In any other case, the bun will appear excessively tidy. There is a delicate skill to appearing unintentionally sloppy
  • Ask yourself this: Can you tell me how to keep my hair from sticking out when I’m wearing it up in a bun? Make use of items such as mousse, hair gel, and hairspray to style your hair. When your hair is still damp, evenly distribute mousse throughout your hair. After tying your hair up in a bun, spray it with hairspray with the highest hold. Another option is to apply a little quantity of hair gel or hair wax around your hairline or anywhere else that hair is poking out. Question What if my hair is only a few inches long? If you have a lot of hair, attempt to gather a handful of it and wrap it around the ponytail clip, holding it in place as tightly as you possibly can. If your hair is too short, you won’t be able to pull off a messy bun until your hair grows a little longer. Alternatively, you might utilize a hair extension done in a sloppy bun style. Question The bun on top of your head would be difficult to achieve. Would you need long hair for anything like that? Simply pull it all up and brush it to make it seem higher in the sky. For this to be successful, your hair will most likely need to be at least shoulder-length or longer. With short hair, it’s difficult to pull a bun together
  • Question What if my hair continues to look the same even after I wash it? In the morning, I put it in a bun and it looks the same.) Experiment with teasing/backcombing your hair, or even physically pulling out sections of hair and scrunching the bun up
  • It’s quite difficult! Is it possible to provide a more convenient method of doing it? Yes! I had a difficult time dealing with it as well. Instead, try the sock bun approach, which is as follows: Make a Sock Bun
  • Ask a Question What is the best way to achieve that bushy effect? Teasing your hair is a good way to start. You may do this by using a comb to gently brush your hair in the other direction (away from your elastic) as you go. Do you follow the same procedure as you would for a regular bun? According to some, the buns produced in this article are quite “typical.” Check read How to Make a Bun for an additional way as well as clearer differences between the many varieties of buns

  • Simply curling the parts of your hair to create little tendrils can transform this into a romantic look in minutes. If your hair is refusing to cooperate, moisten your palm and add a small amount of water to your hair for aid
  • If your bun is really sloppy, just secure it with bobby pins in the front, back, and sides for further stability. When you’re doing this, avoid pulling your hair back too much. Breaking and splitting of the hair will be the result of this treatment. Braid your hair at night to make it wavy, then place it in a loose bun in the morning (as fast as possible)
  • Then, if required, take part of your hair out. You may finish the look with a headband, beanie, or other cap, or you could leave it as is.
