Listed here is a selection from Thanksgiving through the New Year of some of our favorite pies, as well as some of the best places to acquire them across the state. Foster’s Market Peanut Butter Pie

Sara Foster was raised in a pie-loving family in Tennessee, where she lived until she relocated to Durham in 1990 to operate her namesake market, restaurant, and bakery under her own name. Every holiday and Sunday lunch had a pie, and pie was constantly on the menu. Consequently, Foster stocked her market’s shelves with Key lime and mixed berry treats, as well as chocolate chess and bourbon pecan pies. Foster’s friend Jen’s chocolate-peanut butter pie is one of the most popular desserts on the menu, which Foster describes as “a peanut butter cup aficionado’s dream.” Today, those pies — as well as the warm, welcoming ambiance at Foster’s Market — have become a long-standing institution in Bull City history.

Black Bottom Cookie Crust

1 piecrust (about 9 inches in diameter). 12 cups Oreo cookie crumbs (about) (from 6 ounces cookies) A pinch of kosher salt is added to 2 teaspoons of sugar. 4 tablespoons (12 stick) of lard melted unsalted butter with no seasoning Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cookie crumbs, sugar, and salt and toss until well combined. Pour in the butter and whisk until everything is moistened, making sure all of the crumbs are moistened. Distribute the mixture in a pie pan and push it down evenly on the bottom and up both sides of the pan to form a crust.

Remove the pan from the oven and set it aside to cool; the crust will firm up as it cools.

This Peanut Butter Pie is quite addictive! I couldn’t walk past the refrigerator without grabbing a piece of pie. SO DELICIOUS! Anything containing peanut butter is a favorite of mine, and this pie is no exception. This dish comes from Ashley Mac’s café and bakery, which is located in the Birmingham, Alabama region. The recipe was framed and displayed on the wall of the restaurant. I did what any good food blogger would do: I snapped a photo of it to share with you! LOL! I did make a few of tiny modifications to the recipe, though.

In order to hold the pie together, I had to double the amount of butter in the crust.

So delicate and delicate.

I topped the completed pie with a layer of caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, cool whip, and more peanuts chopped by hand.

How to Make Peanut Butter Pie

Any remaining pie should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. In the refrigerator, it will keep for 4 to 5 days.

Every summer, we take a trip to the gorgeous white sands of Gulf Shores, Alabama, to relax and enjoy the scenery. We constantly look forward to our visits to Original Oyster House because of their delectable Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Pie, which is one of the highlights of those excursions. I mean, their other cuisine is excellent as well, but there’s something about that pie that draws me in.

When eaten fresh out of the freezer, it’s finest topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream or perhaps a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

Mmm, mmmm, that’s delicious!

A few things to keep in mind with this recipe…

To begin, use cream cheese that has been left at room temperature. You may also put it in the microwave for a few seconds to make it softer. Remember that it is quite difficult to get cold cream cheese to combine with anything, so make careful to soften it first. Then, using a mixer, combine the cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until well combined. With a mixer, it is easy to overmix the whipped topping (also known as Cool Whip), which can cause the whipped topping to collapse and result in a watery pie.

  1. I next mix in the whipped topping with a spatula until everything is well-combined.
  2. It may feel like it is taking an eternity, but it will ultimately become smooth and well-combined.
  3. Because this pie will be frozen, and because chocolate may become somewhat hard when frozen, I believe that using smaller chunks will reduce the chance of oral damage in this situation.
  4. And, while we’re on the subject of frozen pie, I always recommend serving this one frozen, but some people, as you can see in the comments below, like it just chilled.

As far as I’m concerned, you can melt it and put it in a cup, but I find that it’s simpler to slice precisely and it looks neater when it’s frozen. Either way, it’s a delectable dish. You’re free to be yourself. I hope you all enjoy it!

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Pie

  • 8 ounces melted cream cheese

  • Using a mixer, beat together the softened cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until well combined
  • Fold in the whipped topping until well combined. It may take a little effort to get everything to work together perfectly, but it will happen. Chocolate chips should be folded in at this point. Spread into the pie shell. Wrap it up and put it in the freezer overnight. If preferred, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of chocolate syrup before cutting and serving.

Hmmm… It doesn’t matter what you call it; it’s my personal favorite. In addition, I’m a great lover of the peanut butter and chocolate combination in general. That is one of the reasons why I adore my No-Bake Peanut Butter Cup Pie so much.

  • It’s baked in an Oreo cookie crust that’s been pre-made, and it’s topped with freshly whipped cream.
  • I adapted one of Heather’s favorite pies, myChocolate Chip Peanut Butter Pie, and gave it a modern makeover by using chopped peanut butter cups for the chocolate chips.

In order to make the whipped cream
